...what could it be?

Well I finished Clue 4, Chart E, on my MS3 Friday night. One chart left to go till Friday's chart 5. There's lots of speculation floating around on what the theme could be, but I haven't a clue!
I bought some blocking wires for this project. They're a wonder to be seen, I should have had them a long time ago.I have a few projects I have to knit for the farm and something for Julie, more on that later.

We've been busy this week working on the front of the house. We're getting there slow but sure. We still have the other garden to do, scraping and painting the trim and putting up the new shutters. I'd like to get it all done by the fall. I think it's do-able, but it seems once you get one thing finished something else pops up.

...I made it!!!!!!

I got my invitation today. Alot faster than I thought. Oh my god. I'm going to be busy for a while. Won't have time for ebay.

This was my weekend...Miss "P's" "Saturday nite special".

I did manage to get these fingerless mitts done for the farm.
I modified the pattern for Nicholas's Fingerless Gloves from Interweave Knits.
I knit the thumb plain and knit mitts instead of gloves.
Luxury Alpaca yarn
3.75mm needles

...all this and more.

She's finally done......Na Craga!

Pattern: from Alice Starmore's Aran Knitting
Yarn: Luxury Alpaca Silk 15-50g balls
Needles: 4.5mm

I love the details. Saddle shoulders. This yarn is very soft and has a lovely drape. And I loved the way it blocked. I've also started some fingerless gloves in the same yarn but in pink. A much lovelier colour than this one.

Very simple cables. 4 and 8 row repeats. I would say even someone new to cables could accomplish this one.

On Sunday to celebrate we went antiquing, and I found a better basket to hold my Lorna's Laces. $5, can't beat that, and some old sock blockers. I just need to give them a light sanding and clear coat and they'll be ready for the next pair of socks.

Now back to MS3, I'm part way through clue #3, but I had a peak at Rhonda's blog and saw that she has already finished clue #3. I'll post pictures when I get that far.

...oops, I did it again!

As if I didn't have enough to do, I was reading a few favorite blogs here, here and here, ,and saw I was about to miss the train. What is wrong with me? Just because everybody else is doing it does that mean I have to do it too? I'm such a follower.

Fortunately, I had the yarn in my stash. I bought some JaggerSpun from Fiddlesticks at the Knitter's Fair a few years ago, but lost interest in the pattern that came with it.

I tried to take a picture of the stole but, Mr Duece wanted to be in the picture too so why fight it. All I needed was the beads. This is a first for me, knitting with beads that is. So off I went with my daughter to the bead store on Saturday. These are perfect!

And I just finished the last of the blocking for Na Craga so it's ready for assembly and a collar.
That last sleeve seemed to take forever to knit. Hopefully, I may have it done this weekend and I can cross one more project off my list.
