I used a chunky knit pattern from Jo Sharp and modified.....added pockets and knit the sleeves from the top down.
The yarn was handspun 50% alpaca, 50% wool, 2 ply and knit on a 6.5mm needle.
It should have gone alot faster, but it didn't.
So now she wants another with a round neck-- one in her prize Alpaca-- "Condor". This handspun is 100% alpaca and much lighter and softer than the last blend.
So, Saturday was a road trip. I needed new moccasins, so we drove to Dorset (between Huntsville and Bracebridge, about 3 hours from home) to Robinson's General Store. What a selection, I couldn't decide which ones to get.Crazy, you say, to drive all that way just to get slippers, but this is what we like to do. And besides I got all this done....A new pullover for Miss "P". The back is blocked and the front almost done. Knit with Rowan All Seasons cotton. What a quick knit. Details to follow when finished.
Tonight is guild night and Maureen Mason-Jamieson is coming for a talk, should be a fun evening.

I like the Miss P pullover. Great color and great pattern.
Both sweaters look great! There's (almost) nothing better than a nice pair of slippers ... I like yours!
See you tonight!
Miss Bea patterns are always great. I like the one you chose, and the color is nice too. I am thinking of knitting the same pattern for my cousin's daughter as I never got around to knitting it for Isabelle. She is too big now for the pattern. I hope the next knit goes more quickly for you too.
Sometimes the most boring sweaters are the ones we wear the most.
I am so jealous that you went to Robinson's General store. My grandfather had a cottage near there when we were kids and that was the place to get groceries. It brings back many memories.
