Materials:
1 skein Kidsilk Haze (approx. 200 yds) or any lace weight yarn
3.5mm needles
Gauge: 5st / 7 rows =1" (blocked) over lace pattern
Approx. size: 7.5" wide x 42" long
Lace pattern:
Row 1 & 3 (WS): Purl
Row 2: K1, *K2tog, yo, K3, yo, ssk, K1, Rep from * across.
Row 4: K3, * yo, sl2tog (knitways), K1, pass both slipped over, yo, K5. Rep from * across, ending last rep with K3.
Note:
This pattern has 3 extra stitches on each edge in garter stitch for border.
Instructions:
Cast on 39 sts.
Knit 5 rows. (garter stitch)
Row 1 & 3: (WS rows): Sl purlwise, K2, pm, purl across, pm, K3.
Row 2: (RS): Slip 1 st purlwise, K2, sl marker, knit row 2 of Lace pattern, sl marker, K3.
Row 4: Sl 1 st purlwise, K2, sl marker, knit row 4 of Lace pattern, sl marker, K3.
Continue working, repeating 4 rows of lace pattern to desired length, leaving enough yarn to knit 5 rows of garter stitch for the other end.
Bind off loosely. Weave in ends and block, using your preferred method.
You could also try different weight yarns with appropriately sized needles!

Cool, free patterns are always welcome. The scarf looks great. Oh, and my blog name in the sidebar is miss spelled ;)
The scarf looks so pretty and light. I will have to print it out and attempt to knit it as I dont really knit lacey patterns.
