This weekend I finished up Mr. "D's" socks. They've been hanging out in my carry around knitting bag for quite a while now, they only get knit on when we're out driving around.
Pattern: Gentleman's Plain Winter Sock from Nancy Bush's Knitting Vintage SocksYarn: Trekking XXL colour 62
Needles: 2.5mm bamboo
The only modifications I made were the heel. I knit my usual slip st heel.
I also made another pair of fingerless mitts for the farm. I modified the Fetching pattern, knit a thumb gusset and added stitches for a DK weight yarn.
Let me know if your interested and I'll write out my pattern and post it later. I'm starting a headband of my own design too.
