I know....

I've been such a slacker lately when it comes to blogging. I just don't seem to have alot to talk about. I'm almost finished my Sunshine socks. That second one is a long one.

I went to Julie's on Friday and picked up my next assignment. This is Spud & Chloe from Blue Sky Alpaca's . You can read more about it on Julie's blog. It's a pretty neat concept.
Then I got a call from Miss "P", wanting to come for a sleepover. Well that just squashed my knitting time to nil. We did take in the Poultry Fest on Saturday, and although she gave me a mild heart attack, and a little sunburn, we did have alot of fun.

She's such a little daredevil.
So I have the rest of my week planned out well. Wednesday is Canada Day, so that means no work. And I thought why go back for 2 days, so I took Thursday and Friday off too.
Sounds like some quality knitting time to me. I hope.

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows.....

Well, I almost had "Robo Baby's" sweater done, but ran out of yarn. Her size called for 2 skeins of Sirdar Kisses, but I won't have enough for the neck and button bands. So off to Julie's I went to pick up another. The fortunate side of this is that I'll have enough left over to make her a hat and probably mitts too! I'd like to finish it this weekend.
So before I picked that up I started another Cookie A sock from her new book.

This is Sunshine . I'm using Lorna's Laces and the colourway just happens to be called Sunshine. Go figure.

You can see in the pic I got a new toy. I'm lovin' the fact I can now sit outside and blog or mess around on Ravelry, and enjoy the weather at the same time. It took a little getting used to Vista and the keyboard, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. Oh and I love the speed, so much faster than my old one.
Whoo hoo.

Finally...

Well, I finally finished these today. It was a long and slightly painful process. I've never know a sock pattern to give me so much trouble. But I persevered, and got er' done.

I had a bad start and ripped back and started again, only to realize I hadn't messed up in the first place. Then several dropped stitches and total frustration, I reached the finish line.

I bought this yarn with no particular pattern in mind. I thought I'd use it for Potmotomus, and unbeknownst to me it's was the exact yarn Cookie A used. It was meant to be.

Pattern: Pomotomus by Cookie A
Yarn: Soft Touch Ultra 100% wool by Shelridge Farm 2--50g skeins Colour SU0903-C
Needles: 2.5mm

Summer?...

I just saw the summer Twist Collective. Some very nice patterns.....I think I found one I'll try to make this summer.
First I have to finish my Pomotomus (almost done) then Robo baby's new sweater.
